01 Acceptance of terms
By requesting a quote, signing a proposal or starting a project with Riviera Apps & Web (hereinafter “Riviera”), you accept these Terms and Conditions. If anything is unclear, please write to us before committing to the service.
02 Services we offer
Riviera provides professional services in:
- Design and development of custom websites.
- Conversion-focused landing pages.
- Web applications and portals for customers or employees.
- Development of custom systems and automations.
- Maintenance, support and ongoing improvements.
The specific scope of each project is defined in the proposal signed with the client. That proposal prevails over any prior verbal communication.
03 Quotes and proposals
Quotes are prepared based on the information the client shares during the discovery phase. Each quote is valid for 30 calendar days from the date it is issued.
If the scope, requirements or timelines change after the proposal is accepted, we may adjust the cost and delivery dates through a change order signed by both parties.
04 Payment terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the standard payment schedule is:
- 50% upfront, to reserve the team and start work.
- 50% on delivery, before the site or system goes live.
For larger projects, payment can be split into monthly milestones agreed in the proposal. We accept bank transfer, deposit and card. All services are invoiced.
Payments are non-refundable once the corresponding stage has started, since they involve our team's working hours. If payments are late, we may pause work until the account is brought up to date.
05 Delivery times
Timelines are defined in the proposal and are met as long as the client provides the requested materials on time (content, images, access credentials, approvals).
If the client is delayed on any of these, the delivery date is adjusted proportionally. We will let you know when this happens; we never apply delays without telling you.
06 Scope and revision rounds
Each project includes a number of revision rounds defined in the proposal (usually 2 to 3 per stage). These rounds are for adjustments within the agreed scope: copy, colors, layout of elements, behavior tweaks.
The following are not part of the scope and are quoted separately:
- New features not included in the original proposal.
- Complete redesigns after the visual proposal has been approved.
- Integrations with additional services or systems.
- Content creation (copy, photography, video) unless agreed.
07 Intellectual property
Once the project has been paid in full, the client receives commercial usage rights to the final deliverables designed specifically for them: visual design, site content, configurations and custom code.
Riviera retains ownership of:
- Internal components, libraries and tools that we reuse across projects.
- Third-party software under its own licenses (frameworks, plugins, fonts, open-source libraries).
- Prior conceptual material (mockups and sketches discarded during the process).
Unless otherwise stated in writing, Riviera may use the delivered project in its portfolio, presentations and promotional materials.
08 Warranty and support
Every delivered project includes a 30-calendar-day warranty from the launch date. During that period we fix, at no cost, any functional error attributable to development (bugs, unexpected behavior, display issues).
The warranty does not cover:
- New features or changes requested after delivery.
- Failures caused by changes made by third parties to the code or configuration.
- Outages or issues with third-party services (hosting, domain, external APIs).
After the 30-day warranty, ongoing support is available through a monthly maintenance plan.
09 Limitation of liability
Riviera is committed to delivering its services with the highest quality and professional care. However, we do not guarantee specific business results such as number of sales, visits or search engine rankings, since these depend on many factors outside our control.
In no event will Riviera's total liability to the client exceed the amount actually paid by the client for the project in question.
10 Confidentiality
All confidential information the client shares with us (strategies, financial data, customer lists, access credentials, proprietary code) will be treated with strict confidentiality by our team, during and after the provision of the services.
If your project requires a formal non-disclosure agreement (NDA), we will gladly sign one before we start.
11 Project cancellation
Either party may terminate the project if the other seriously breaches the agreed terms and does not remedy the breach within a reasonable period.
If the client cancels:
- The client will pay for the work completed up to the cancellation date.
- The client will receive the files corresponding to the work paid for.
- No refunds are made for stages already delivered and approved.
12 Jurisdiction and governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws in force in the United Mexican States. For their interpretation and enforcement, the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in the city of Cancún, Quintana Roo, waiving any other venue that may apply to them.
